CTV's contribution

In this case, CTV stands for the Centro Televiso Vaticano (that's right, the Vatican Television Centre), which has produced a documentary recounting the major events of the last two months or so - from the momentous day (February 11 of this year) when Pope Benedict XVI stunned the world by announcing his intention to renounce the Petrine ministry ... up to and including all the events surrounding the conclave of 2013, the election of Pope Francis, and all the various meetings he had with groups during the initial days of his pontificate.

The documentary, entitled Papa Francesco, will be screened in the John Paul II Hall, located in the offices of the Holy See's Press Office for the benefit of all the acredited journalists on Wednesday of this week (March 27) beginning at 12:30pm local time.

Beginning on April 2 of this year, the documentary will be circulated as an attachment to the Corriere della Sera newspaper.

More information about the documentary will be presented on Wednesday by:
  • Archbishop Claudio Maria Celli, President of the Pontifical Council for Social Communications;
  • Monsignor Dario Eduardo Vigano, Director of the Vatican Television Centre; and
  • Doctor Frederico De Bertoli, Director of Corriere della Sera.
