Sympathy for Cebu


His Eminence, Tarcisio Cardinal Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State signed a telegram of condolence which was sent today in the name of the Holy Father, Pope Francis to the Archbishop of Cebu (Philippines), expressing the Pope’s prayers for the victims and the many others who are still missing after a ferry collided with a cargo ship yesterday in the port of Cebu and sank.

HE ASSURES ALL AFFECTED OF HIS CLOSENESS IN PRAYER AND COMMENDS THE VICTIMS TO T HE LOVING MERCY OF ALMIGHTY GOD.
