A role of oversight

The Holy Father, Pope Francis has renewed his appointments of the Cardinals who serve on the Commission overseeing the Institute for the Works of Religion (IOR).

Therefore, for the next five years, this Commission will be made up of the following Cardinals:

• His Eminence, Christoph Cardinal Schönborn, Archbishop of Vienna (Austria);
• His Eminence, Thomas Christopher Collins, Archbishop of Toronto (Canada);
• His Eminence, Jean-Louis Tauran, President of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue;
• His Eminence, Santos Abril y Castilló, Archpriest of the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major; and
• His Excellency, Pietro Parolin, Titular Archbishop of Acquapendente, Secretary of State.
