During today's Angelus address, the Holy Father, Pope Francis announced the names of some new Cardinals who will be created during an upcoming Consistory which will be celebrated on February 14 of this year.
As previously announced, on February 14 of this year, I will have the joy of holding a Consistory, during which I will create fifteen (15) new Cardinals who, coming from fourteen (14) different countries and from every continent of the world, demonstrate the inseparable bond between the Church of Rome and the various particular Churches throughout the world.
On Sunday, February 15, I will preside over a solemn concelebration of the Mass with the newly-created Cardinals, but on February 12 and 13, I will hold a gathering of all the Cardinals to reflect on the guidelines and proposals for reforming the Roman Curia.
The new Cardinals include:
1. His Eminence, Dominique Mamberti, Titular Archbishop of Sagona, Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura;

They are:

Let us pray for these new Cardinals, that renewed in their love for Christ, they may bear witness to his gospel in the city of Rome and throughout the world and that through their pastoral experience, they may support me more intensely in my apostolic service.
