Called to holiness

From June 10 to 14, 2015, at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran in Rome, the third World Retreat for Priests, organized by the International Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS) and by the Catholic Fraternity, is in progress.  Based on the theme: Called to holiness for the new evangelization, this year's retreat is organized around the major themes contained in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii gaudium.

At 4:00pm today, the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Holy Father, Pope Francis arrived at the Basilica of Saint John Lateran where he held a reflection on the theme: Transformed by love and for love.  Following a moment of dialogue with the priests who are participating in the spiritual retreat, the Pope presided at the Eucharistic celebration and presented those who were present with a missionary mandate.
