The Lenten Retreat begins

At 9:00am today in Rome, in the Redemptoris Mater chapel in the Vatican, in the presence of the Holy Father, the Preacher of the Pontifical Household, Reverend Father Raniero Cantalamessa, OFM, Cap. held the first session of the yearly Lenten Retreat.

The theme for the Lenten meditations this year is: The Second Vatican Council, 50 years later.  Revisiting from a spiritual point of view.

Other sessions of the Lenten Retreat will be held on Fridays - February 26, March 4, 11 and 18.
