New journeys toward integral ecology

The Holy Father, Pope Francis has determined that the Special Assembly of the Synod of Bishops for the Pan-Amazonian region which will be held in October 2019 will be focused around the theme Amazonia: new journeys for the Church and for an integral ecology.

In addition, the Holy Father has appointed eighteen (18) members of the pre-synodal Council who will work with the General Secretary of the Synod of Bishops to prepare for the upcoming Special Assembly.
