Pope to visit Naples

The Holy Fahter, Pope Francis will travel to Naples on 21 June of this year to take part in a meeting focused on the theme: Theology after Veritatis Gaudium in the context of the Mediterranean.  The meeting is being organized by the Pontifical Faculty of Theology of Southern Italy - San Luigi section - in Naples.

The planned itinerary plans for the Holy Father to arrive in the capital of the Campagna region at 9:00am that day.  He will be welcomed by Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, Archbishop of Naples and Grand Chancellor of the Faculty; as well as the Bishop of Nola, His Excellency, Francesco Marino; and the General Superior of the Society of Jesus, Father Arturo Sosa Abascal.

The public session of the meeting will take place in the square outside the Faculty.  The Pope will share a speech focused on the theme of the meeting and then, after lunch, he will return to Rome in the early afternoon.
