This afternoon, at 5:40pm local time (10:40pm EDT), the Holy Father, Pope Francis arrived at the Diocese of Soamandrakizay's field for a Prayer Vigil with youth.
After having circled among the faithful aboard the popemobile, at 6:00pm (1:00pm EDT), the Pope presided over the Vigil which began with a few words of introduction offered by His Excellency, Fulgence Razakarivoney, MS, Bishop of Ibosy and President of the Episcopal Commission for Youth.
Following the performance of a dance, there were some testimonials presented by two youth, intermingled with the singing of songs. Then, the Holy Father shared his speech with the young people.
At the conclusion of the Vigil, after a final dance and following the recitation of the Our Father, a prayer of entrustment to the Blessed Virgin and the final blessing, Pope Francis returned by car to the Apostolic Nunciature in Antananarivo.
