This morning, inside the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father, Pope Francis received in audience the President of the European Council, His Excellency, Donald Tusk, who then met with His Eminence, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of His Holiness.
During the cordial encounter, they discussed the good bilateral relations and the contribution that the Church has offered and wishes to continue offering toward the building up of a more united, peaceful Europe, one that is more respectful of its people.
As the conversation continued, they also focused on some international and regional issues, with special attention to the future structure of the European Union and migration.
