Arabic architecture in Spain

Inside the Alhambra, there was (and is) evidence of a love for physical space and a deep respect for using space, and various other elements in order to create a place of peace, relaxation and contentment.  Even so many centuries later, the serenity of this place speaks to those who enter its doors.

Modern-day visitors to the Alhambra have to imagine what it must have looked like in its hayday.  Part of the enhancement would include the fact that most of the window structures would have been highlighted by stained glass ... especially the areas of the inner courtyards where it was necessary to guarantee the privacy of the inhabitants.
