to His Excellency, Ilario Antoniazzi
Archbishop of Tunis

Having been informed about the grave terrorist attack launched upon the city of Tunis yesterday, which has caused numerous deaths and left many wounded, His Holiness, Pope Francis, reiterating his firm condemnation of all acts against peace and the sacredness of human life, is united in prayer with all families who are suffering and mourning, as well as with all persons who have been affected by this drama and with the Tunisian people who are all being put to the test.

He asks the Lord to welcome those who have died into the fullness of his peace and to comfort those who have been seriously wounded.  As an act of consolation, the Pope is praying that God will shower you all with the abundance of his blessings.
