Condolences to Mexico

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State of His Holiness has sent a message of condolence in the name of the Holy Father to the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, expressing his condolences for the victims of a hurricane which has hit that country.

Following the serious damage caused in Mexico by a hurricane, affecting some areas of the country and leaving many casualties and much physical damage, the Holy Father expresses his affection for the beloved Mexican people.  His Holiness is offering prayer for those who have lost their lives and assures his closeness to the families of the victims.

At the same time, His Holiness is asking the Lord to support the souls of the Authorities and the people of Mexico, and to awaken in all of them the spirit of solidarity, while at the same time extending to all of them his Apostolic Blessing.
