The Toronto Star posted an article in their on-line edition last week stating that Pope Francis has a habit of calling total strangers on the phone and announcing himself with the simple words: It's the Pope.
This should come as no surprise to those who know him, but it's not every day that one receives a phone call directly from the Holy Father, so it's understandable that when he called the Argentinian news stand where he would buy his daily paper while in Buenos Aires to cancel his subscription, they hung up on him, believing that it was a crank caller (at first).
Yet another surprise and refreshing change, this Pope is putting a new face on the papacy!
