The Vatican Congregation for Oriental Churches issued a
Press Release this morning, in which they explained that the Cardinal Prefect,
Leonardo Sandri, together with the Superiors and co-workers at the Congregation,
in the matter of the persisting uncertainty of the state of Father PaoloDall'Oglio, SJ, has expressed to the Superior General and all the Religious of
the Company of Jesus his continuing spiritual closeness in prayer.
Together with the Churches in the region, His Eminence is
continually mindful of the absolute silence which weighs upon the fate of twobishops and two priests who were kidnapped a number of months ago, like so many
others, both Syrian and those of other nationalities who are in the same
painful condition.
Let us implore the Lord, and the All Holy Mother of God,
that they might bring an end to war and restore peace to our beloved Syria and
to all people of the Middle East.
