This morning, in the Sala Clementina at the Vatican Apostolic Palace, the Holy Father, Pope Francis received in audience the Carmelite Religious from Bethlehem and from the Middle East; and the Sisters of the Rosary of Jerusalem, who are in Rome to celebrate the Canonization of Miriam of Jesus Crucified and Alphonsine Danil Ghattas.

I am very happy to welcome this pilgrimage of the Sisters for the canonization of the new Saints. The President of the State of Palestine told me that a plane filled with Sisters had departed from Jordan. Poor pilot ... Thank you very much!
I want to give you a mission: pray to the two new saints for peace in your land, that this interminable war might finally come to an end and that there might be peace among all peoples. And pray for persecuted Christians, chased out of their homes, away from their land and victims of white gloved persecution: it is hidden, but it is taking place! White gloved persecution and white gloved terrorism. Pray fervently for peace.
Now, all of you, in your own languages, pray the Hail Mary with me.
