Angelus after the canonizations

At the conclusion of the Mass celebrated in Saint Peter's Square for the Canonization of Blessed Stanislaus Papczyński and Blessed Maria Elisabetta Hesselblad, before reciting the Angelus, the Holy Father addressed those who were present in the following words.

Greetings of His Holiness, Pope Francis
prior to the recitation of the Angelus

Dear brothers and sisters,

I greet all of you who have participated in this celebration.  In a special way, I thank the official delegations that have come for the canonizations: from Poland, led by the President of that Republic; and from Sweden.  Through the intercession of these two new Saints, may the Lord bless both your nations.

I affectionately greet the many groups of pilgrims from Italy and from other countries, especially the faithful from Estonia, as well as those from the diocese of Bologna and the musical bands.

All together, let us now offer a prayer to the Virgin Mary, that she may always guide us in the way of holiness and support us day by day as we strive to build a world of justice and peace.
