In preparation for the XV Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops - on the theme Youth, faith and vocational discernment, which is scheduled to take place in October 2018, the General Secretariat of the Synod is preparing an International Seminar on the condition of youth, which will take place from 11 to 15 September of this year in the Auditorium at the Jesuit Generalate in Rome.
Experts from all five continents will be present at the Seminar to provide input aimed at deepening various themes pertaining to the world of youth today. Some young people will also be present as spokespersons for their peers in socio-cultural and religious contexts which exist in various geographic areas of the world.
The agenda for the Seminar includes reports which will be provided by those in attendance as well as communication provided by the participants, followed by debates and in-depth discussions in linguistic groups. The work will be organized according to the following themes: youth and identity, youth focused on others, youth and projects, youth and technology, youth and transcendence. The sessions are open to all those who may be interested in participating.
