This morning, the Holy Father, Pope Francis sent a telegram of condolence to the Archbishop of Rosario (Argentina), expressing his condolence and spiritual closeness to families of victims of a gas explosion, which destroyed a nine-story building in the city of Rosario yesterday.

The Holy Father, deeply distressed upon learning the sad
news of the violent explosion which has occurred in the city of Rosario, leaving
many victims with numerous injuries as well as property damage, offers his
prayers for the eternal rest of the deceased and raises fervent prayer as well
to the Lord that He may give comfort to those affected by this disaster,
inspiring sentiments of Christian hope and fraternal solidarity for all.
I also ask that you transmit His Holiness’ condolences to
the families of the deceased and that you express to the wounded, his paternal
solicitude and spiritual closeness.
With these sentiments, His Holiness imparts to you and
those affected by this tragedy, a comforting apostolic blessing.
