First reflection for Advent

Twice a year: during the liturgical seasons of Advent and Lent, the Pope and the other members of his staff pause for a series of reflections which are typically organized in the form of mini-retreats.

At 9:00am today, in the Redemptoris Mater chapel, in the presence of the Holy Father, Pope Francis, the Preacher of the Papal Household, Father Raniero Cantalamessa, OFM Cap. held the first session of the Advent reflections which this year are focused on the theme: Peace on earth to those who are loved by God (Lk 2:14).
