Following his visit to the Waldensian Temple, The Holy Father, Pope Francis returned this morning to the Archbishop's residence where he met privately with thirty of his own family members who live in Piemonte. The group was composed of six of his cousins along with their families.
In the chapel of the Archbishop's residence, he celebrated Mass with his family and then had lunch with them.
At 4:30pm this afternoon, before leaving the Archbishop's residence in Turin, the Holy Father met briefly with members of the Shroud Exhibition Committee and the organizers of the papal visit.
Then, he travelled by car to the Turin-Caselle airport. Along the way, he was greeted by Children of the state from the various Turin parishes. Then, taking leave of the personnel who had welcomed him yesterday upon his arrival in Turin, he boarded the plane and returned to Rome.
The arrival at Rome's Ciampino airport was planned for 6:30pm local time. The Holy Father then returned to the Vatican.
