At 6:00pm today, the liturgical Memorial of All the Faithful Departed, the Holy Father, Pope Francis will descend to the Grottos beneath the Vatican Basilica to spend a moment in private prayer for the souls of his predecessors, the Supreme Pontiffs who are buried there, as well as for all those who have died.
