Christmas greetings for children

Yesterday afternoon at 4:00pm local time, the Holy Father, Pope Francis visited the Gesu Bambino Paediatric Hospital of Rome which has its main location at Gianicolo.

The Pope stopped at various parts of the hospital, visiting with the young patients and with their families.  In the course of the visit, which lasted almost until 7:00pm, the Holy Father met with children suffering from terminal illnesses and their parents in the hospital chapel.

Greetings of the Holy Father, Pope Francis
addressed to terminal patients and their families
at the Gesu Bambino Paediatric Hospital

Dear children,

I thank you for the dreams and prayers which you have collected and placed in the basket which you presented to me.  Thank you so very much!  Together we present them to Jesus.  He knows them better than anyone else; He knows what is in the depth of our hearts.  This is especially true in your case, dear children.  Jesus has a very special bond, he is always close to you.  Now, let us recite a prayer to the Blessed Virgin together before this beautiful statue of the Madonna with Jesus.

Hail Mary ...

I bless you all in the name of the Father ...

Thank you!
