The Holy Father will visit the Campidoglio in Rome next week, on 26 March 2019. Today, the Holy See Press Centre published the itinerary for His Holiness' visit.

10:30am (5:30am EDT)
The Holy Father will arrive at the Campidoglio, in the area known as the Sisto IV, where he will be welcomed by the Mayor, Virginia Raggi.
Trumpets will be sounded by the Faithful of Vitorchiano.
The Holy Father and the Mayor will travel along the Sisto IV staircase to reach the interior of the Senatorial Palace and will then travel to the first floor by elevator.
Inside the Clock Room, the Holy Father will meet briefly with the Mayor's family members.
Inside the Mayor's Study, the Mayor will invite the Holy Father to stand on the balcony and to look out over the Roman Forum. Then, the two will spend some time in private discussion.
11:00am (6:00am EDT)
At the conclusion of their private discussion, the Holy Father and the Mayor will go together to the Tapestry Room.
Inside the Tapestry Room, the Holy Father will be greeted by the President of the Capitoline Assembly, the Associate Mayor, the Presidents of the various Counsellor Groups (10) and the Capitoline Directors (10).
The Holy Father will present each one of them with a copy of the book entitled Rethinking the Future, and will discuss various aspects pertinent to Europe.
Inside the Flag Room, the Holy Father will be greeted by the Capitoline Assessors (12) and the Municipal Presidents (15).
The Holy Father will then sign the Capitoline Guest Book.
11:30am (6:30am EDT)
The Holy Father ad the Mayor will enter te Giulio Cesare Hall.
Inside the Giulio Cesare Hall, the Holy Father will greet the President of the Capitoline Assembly, Marcello De Vito and the Mayor, Virginia Raggi.
Speech by the Holy Father.
At the conclusion of the Holy Father's discourse, the Mayor will thank him and will announce the establishment of a study bursary. She will also dedicate Sala della Piccola Protomoteca to Pope Francis' Encyclical Letter Laudato si'.
There will then follow an exchange of gifts. In remembrance of His visit, the Holy Father will present a mosaic reproduction of the Colosseum and a medal of his Pontificate.
The Holy Father will then greet the Capitoline Councillors.
12:15pm (7:15am EDT)
The Holy Father and the Mayor will climb to the Loggia outside the Senatorial Palace. There, the Holy Father will offer a few words of greeting to the citizens who will be gathered in the Square.
Inside the Sala della Protomoteca, the Holy Father will then greet a representative group of the Capitoline staff members and their family members.

12:30pm (7:30am EDT)
The Holy Father and the Mayor will move to the Portico del Vignola, where they will bid each other farewell; from the Piazzetta dell'Avvocatura, the Holy Father will travel back to the Vatican by car.
