The texts for the meditations of the Via Crucis at the Colosseum this coming Good Friday were released today. Written by Lebanese youth under the direction of the Maronite Patriarch, His Eminent Beatitude, Béchara Boutros Rai, the meditations focus on the suffering of people - mostly Christians - in the Middle East.
The Vatican's Publishing House (Libreria Editrice Vaticana) will publish special libretti containing the text of the meditations, and 19th-century illustrations by a Franciscan artist from Bethlehem.
