As expected, the last of the 115 Cardinal electors, His Eminence, Jean-Baptiste Pham, Archbishop of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) arrived in time for the evening General Congregation in Rome.

Now the waiting won't be long. As the preparations continue within the Sistine Chapel, the Cardinals may soon choose the date when the Conclave will begin. Nonetheless, it bears remembering that this is not a process which should be hurried. Rather, because of the gravity of the decisions that must be made, it may very well turn out to be more like a race betweeen the proverbial tortoise and the hare. As soon as we know, you will know. Meanwhile,
prayers please for the Cardinals, for the electors and for the entire Church as we await the virdict ... ah, and a prayer or two too for the
pilgrim of Castel Gandolfo who is no doubt watching as all this unfolds.
