Pope to visit Cesena and Bologna

The Holy Father, Pope Francis has accepted the invitation issued by His Excellency, Douglas Regattieri, Bishop of Cesena-Sarsina to visit the city of Cesena during the celebrations of the three-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Pope Pius VI.

The Holy Father has also accepted the invitation issued by His Excellency, Matteo Maria Zuppi, Archbishop of Bologna to celebrate the Diocesan Eucharistic Congress in that local Church with a visit to the Diocese of Bologna.

The Holy Father will visit both these Dioceses on Sunday, 1 October 2017.
