At 6:30pm local time, the Holy Father, Pope Francis met this evening with the bishops of Poland in the Cathedral of Saints Stanislaus and Wenceslaus in Kraków.
Upon his arrival, the Pope was welcomed by the Archbishop of Kraków, Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz and by the parish priest, who introduced him to the members of the Chapter of Canons. The Holy Father then paused in private prayer at the Shrine of Saint Stanislaus, where some relics of Saint John Paul II are also displayed, before going to the Chapel where he venerated the Blessed Sacrament.
The meeting between the Pope and approximately 130 Polish bishops, which was introduced by a greeting offered by Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz, took place in the form of an informal dialogue.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Pope Francis retired to the residence of the Archbishop of Kraków.
