Mercy in continuity

This new Salt and Light Television documentary is presented on the eve of Pope Francis’ arrival in Kraków, the city of mercy.  This short film features the theme of mercy running through the lives and Petrine ministries of Popes John Paul II and Francis.

Produced for the World Youth Day 2016 in Kraków, Poland, this video posits that an honest and careful look at the ministries of each of the Popes since the Second Vatican Council reveals a sincere effort to make God's mercy known to the world, and to allow it to penetrate the attitudes and actions of church leaders in particular.

As John Paul II wrote in 1980, The genuine face of mercy has to be ever revealed anew.
