Estonia at the Vatican

This morning at the Vatican, the Holy Father, Pope Francis received in audience His Excellency, Mister Jüri Ratas, Prime Minister of the Republic of Estonia, who subsequently met with His Eminence, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Secretary of State; and Monsignor Antoine Camilleri, Under-Secretary for Relations with States.

During the cordial discussions, appreciation was expressed for the good bilateral relations and for the positive contribution of the Church to Estonian society.

Attention then turned to various themes of mutual interest at regional and supranational levels, including the protection of the environment and migration. Finally, mention was made of the commitment of the international community to conflict resolution.
