Pope Francis will continue his annual tradition of celebrating the liturgy on Holy Thursday in places other than the Vatican. This year, on Thursday, 29 March, at 4:00pm local time (11:00am EDT), His Holiness will visit Rome's Regina Coeli Prison, where he will celebrate the Mass of the Lord's Supper.
The Holy Father's visit will include a meeting with the sick prisoners, the celebration of the Eucharist during which the Pope will wash the feet of 12 prisoners in the Rotonda and a meeting with some prisoners from Section VIII of the prison.
